Mitch Donohue, Pastor

Bro. Mitch has been our pastor since 1999. He was born and raised in rural Louisiana, and moved to Kentucky in 1995. He is a graduate of William Carey College, New Orleans Seminary, and Bethany Seminary and College of the Bible. He holds the Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees.

Before coming to GracePointe, he served as pastor of churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, and Kentucky. Prior to coming to Owensboro he served in numeous local association positions.

Bro. Mitch believes that the role of pastor is defined by Ezra 7:10 and Ephesians 4:11-13. Ezra devoted himself to study, to observe the Word of God, and then to teach God's law to others. The Ephesians passage instructs us that God appointed pastor-teachers to teach God's Word in such a way as to prepare the rest of the body for the work of ministry until everybody reaches the fullness of Christ. Bro. Mitch considers that his greatest priority as pastor is to preach and teach God's Word. He takes seriously the instructions given in 1 Timothy 4 "Mediate on these things" with the task of preaching.

He is married to Dianne, and they have four daughters, six grandchildren, and one great grand child.
